Comic Strip
Guide
A Comic Strip uses information to inform the illustration of and
dialogue between characters in a plot driven story that builds a hero or team
of heroes. The Comic Strip commonly uses
dialogue to dramatize and/or simplify complex issues. Humorous Comic Strips build a situation that
ends with a punch line.
Rationale: Research demonstrates that synthesizing
information, or taking information and creating new and independent work,
increases understanding and retention.
Instructions: Fill at least one piece of 8 ½ x 11
paper with at least six frames. Be sure
that all dialogue is clearly written.
Write captions that help the reader understand.
