Tense Agreements
Guide
Tense Agreements allow students to practice creating
grammatically correct sentences according to the rules of subject-verb
agreement and past, present, and future tenses.
Rationale: Many
students need to practice grammar. Writing
correct sentences allows the rehearsal of
history information. Rehearsal is essential to retention.
Instructions: On a blank
sheet of paper, write five compound sentences (make sure they are main ideas)
about a variety of topics within the unit.
Write the different verb sentences and then underline the appropriate
tense. Do this for both singular and
plural as well as past, present, and future.
